We know the process of getting an ID can be confusing and frustrating. This tool is designed to help you get started within a few steps. By simply answering a few questions about your current situation, we will provide you with website(s) where you can take the next step to get an ID. You will still need to file an application and submit it to get an ID!

This tool was initiated by cut50 with Sara Sepasian, Gina Montarano, Reece Carolan, Lucas Negritto, Franklin Wang, Oliver Ni, and Riley Kong— with special assistance from Amir Jabbari, Nikki Pope, and Antonio Reza at the Santa Clara Law Second Chances Empathy Hackathon. More features were added by Connor Azzarello and Darshan Bhansali and the tool was completed, styalized to match Paper Prisions' website, and user tested by Jay Kanakiya, Max Calcoen, and Ju Young Park.
